Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving passing and Christmas coming, I have finally begun to realize how wonderful my family is. By my family, I mean my mom and dad and siblings. I am so blessed to have a family that just likes to have fun. Yesterday, while at my grandmother's, the six of us sat down and played chickenfoot and phase 10. The rest of the family didn't want to join in. So, we had fun amongst ourselves. It was great. Then, tonight, we played phase 10 for over 3 hours. It was wonderful. As silly as it may sound, I was delighted to realize that we can all sit and play a game without having to be on teams because one of us was too young to really be able to play. And i am so blessed to have a family that will play a game for three hours, and enjoy ourselves. It amazes me to see the families who don't spend that kind of time together. It does so much in bringing everyone together. The one thing that really bothers me is television. You simply can't get too close to someone by watching a screen together. Though my family does its share of that, I am happy to know that we do more. I guess I have said all this simply to say that I am so thankful to have a family who enjoys each other and enjoys life.
